On July 18th, Microsoft officially launched Visual Search in Bing Chat for both desktop and mobile platforms. This advanced feature allows users to input images and instantly retrieve information about it. Whether it's identifying objects, getting product details, or seeking design inspiration.

With Visual Search available on both desktop and mobile devices, users simply need to take a photo or upload an existing image to prompt Bing Chat to display relevant information about it. The potential uses for this feature are vast, and Visual Search has the potential to enrich user interactions with search results.

Example of Visual Search Usage

In a Twitter post by Bing, they included a demo video showcasing how users can use Bing Chat Visual Search. In the attached video, a user inputs images of two adapters and asks Bing Chat which adapter to bring to a specific country.

In this experiment, we asked Bing Chat to describe the attached image. While it took a moment to display the results, Bing Chat gradually presented a brief analysis, search, and answer.
